Generally good and stable condition. Each is sturdy and can be comfortably sat upon. Each has later blocks to the underside to stabilize the seats; one chair also has an old age split that has been repaired with several staples. The painting and gilt decoration are scuffed and worn, in some places rubbed away to show the underlying wood. Overall the appearance of the frames is attractive. The upholstery is slightly soiled and tearing; it needs replacement.
